BauMont’s partners have successfully managed investments through several cycles including times of great volatility and capital vacuums.
Mr. Balick is the Chief Investment Officer and chairs BauMont’s Investment Committee. He is responsible for management, strategy and the capital formation at BauMont.
Prior to founding BauMont, Mr. Balick was a senior managing director for CarVal Investors based in London, where he led CarVaI’s real estate investment activities in Europe. Prior to joining CarVal Investors, Mr. Balick started his career as a real estate investment banker with Salomon Brothers in New York and London.
Mr. Laurent is the Head of European Investments and a member of BauMont’s Investment Committee. Mr. Laurent’s experience encompasses all real estate property classes and includes equity and debt structures in both the private and public markets.
Prior to founding BauMont, Mr. Laurent was a managing director with CarVal Investors, leading real estate investment activities in France. Mr. Laurent began his career with GE Capital, focusing on European acquisitions for GE Real Estate.
Mr. Maton is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer and a member of BauMont’s Investment Committee. Prior to founding BauMont, Mr. Maton was a managing director with CarVal Investors in London, where he was responsible for real estate investment activities in the UK.
Prior to this, Mr. Maton was a director at Citigroup, responsible for the execution of capital market offerings and worked in the real estate and structured finance group at Salomon Brothers.
Partner, Head of Acquisitions — France
Mr. Salmon is a member of BauMont’s Investment Committee. Based in Paris, Mr. Salmon is responsible for the origination, acquisitions, asset management and disposal of real estate investments in France. Prior to founding BauMont, Mr. Salmon was a director with CarVal Investors.
Previously Mr. Salmon was based in London where he worked at LaSalle Investment Management in the special situations group. Mr. Salmon started his career with Lehman Brothers in the real estate investment banking group.
Partner, Separate Accounts
Mr. Vellay is responsible for BauMont’s separate account activity and business development in Southern Europe. He is based in Paris. Prior to joining BauMont, Mr. Vellay was Head of Europe Investments at M&G Real Estate and Head of European acquisitions at MGPA.
Before that he was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley focusing on real estate credit investments. He started his career at GE Real Estate.
Director, Head of Investments — U.K.
Mrs. Harrison heads the origination, acquisitions, asset management and disposal of real estate investments in the UK.
Prior to joining BauMont Mrs. Harrison was a director at M&G Real Estate where she held various positions including acquisitions, portfolio management and asset management roles in both the UK and Continental Europe.
Mr. Xuereb is the Director of Operations at BauMont, responsible for managing the implementation of the business guidelines and overseeing the operational aspects of the business strategy.
Mr. Xuereb has over ten years of experience in financial and operational management. Prior to joining BauMont, he held senior positions with Alter Domus and Citco and was involved in various structures where he oversaw finance and operations, as well as regulatory reporting.
Mr. Xuereb is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
Vice President, Investments
Mr. Pasini is a Vice President in the investment department with responsibilities for acquisitions and asset management.
Prior to joining BauMont in 2018, Mr. Pasini was an Associate at Colony Capital working on the asset management of a European REIT. Mr. Pasini started his career in the Debt & Special Situations team at LaSalle Investment Management.
Vice President, Investments
Mr. Wentworth-Stanley is responsible for the origination, acquisition and asset management of real estate investments in the UK.
Prior to joining BauMont, Mr. Wentworth-Stanley was an Associate Director in the Development Land Team at Savills, where he specialised in the sale and acquisition of residential and mixed-use development opportunities in London.
Mr. Wentworth-Stanley is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
